The “Stress Tests and Biomarkers of Resilience” conference, hosted by the American Geriatrics Society and the National Institute on Aging was held March 4-5, 2026. This paper summarizes key insights from the conference, and addresses the growing importance of resilience science by identifying biological and psychosocial determinants that shape resilience, especially in aging populations. It aims to enhance predictive accuracy for resilience-related outcomes, guiding both clinical decision-making and the design of resilience-promoting interventions. By using advanced biomarker testing and integrating multiomics data, the research outlined provides a foundation for precision health approaches in geriatrics, with implications for personalized treatment, improved health outcomes, and the development of targeted resilience-enhancing therapies.
