The American Geriatrics Society hosted a webinar on April 7, 2020 presented by AGS' CPT Advisor and coding expert Dr. Robert Zorowitz, covering recent updates to Medicare coverage and payment for telehealth services. As part of ongoing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and protect those at high-risk for complications from the virus, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) continues to broaden access to Medicare telehealth services so that beneficiaries can receive a wider range of services from their providers without having to travel to a healthcare facility. Updates are being made by CMS on an almost daily basis and we know clinicians on the frontlines are struggling to keep track of the frequent changes.
