DESCRIPTION

The first in a three-part series geared toward early career investigators and available to all, this workshop was filled with discussions on how to approach a summary statement and think about the response. Held on April 28, 2021 and led by Drs. Lauren Ferrante, Chris Carpenter, Una Makris, and Ken Covinsky, attendees were provided with an overview of an NIH summary statement, tips on how to respond to common critiques, and real-life examples from two GEMSSTAR scholars (Drs. Ambarish Pandey and Maile Young Karris) on their approach to their summary statement which ultimately led to successfully receiving grant funding.
