DESCRIPTION

This editorial introduces the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society's Diversity in Research on Aging series, an initiative aimed at evaluating the representation of older adults and diverse racial and ethnic populations in aging research. By establishing a baseline across specialties, the series seeks to identify gaps in research participation, promote more inclusive study designs, and foster collaborations that strengthen the evidence base for equitable care of an increasingly diverse older population.
