DESCRIPTION

The AGS Ethics Committee hosted a webinar featuring a panel of AGS members discussing how geriatrics health professionals can (a) understand implicit and structural racism and (b) work to overcome the barriers that these create, in order to build partnerships with patients from different cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. This webinar is the first in a series that will explore the difficult yet critically important areas of bias and discrimination, with the aim of providing tools for creating a just, equitable, and inclusive healthcare environment. The series is being offered as a part of the AGS intersection of Structural Racism and Ageism Initiative.
