The 2020 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Rule, which took effect on January 1, includes a number of new and revised billing codes of interest for geriatrics health professionals. Some of these codes are available for payment under Medicare for the first time and clinicians who would like to bill them will need to understand the various requirements for doing so.

The webinar covers how to utilize and bill for the following new and existing services available for payment under Medicare including: chronic care management, transitional care management, and online digital E/M services. While some of codes are not new for 2020, guidelines for billing may have been revised or modified. The presentation also covers extensive changes CMS has made to evaluation and management (E/M) payment and documentation for 2020 and 2021.

Following the program, the attendee should be able to introduce these codes and other changes into their practices. The webinar is hosted by AGS Board Member and geriatrician Peter Hollmann, MD, and AGS consultant Denise Merlino, CPC, MBA, CNMT – both recognized for their expertise in payment and coding.
