DESCRIPTION

The 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Rule, which took effect on January 1, includes a number of coding changes of interest for geriatrics health professionals. This webinar reviews changes finalized for 2024, including implementation of a separate add-on code for visit complexity, G2211, that will better recognize the resource costs associated with evaluation and management (E/M) visits for primary care and longitudinal care. The webinar also covers new codes for caregiver training services, coding and payment changes for services addressing health-related social needs, changes to billing for split (or shared) E/M visits, and updates to telehealth services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries.

Following the webinar, the attendee should be able to introduce these codes and other changes into their practices. The webinar is hosted by AGS leaders, Drs. Peter Hollmann and Robert Zorowitz, and AGS consultant Denise Merlino, CPC, MBA, CNMT – all recognized for their expertise in payment and coding.

The PowerPoint slides from the webinar are available for download as a PDF here.
