Spotlight on GeriatricsCareOnline: GRS8 Online Interactive Features

Date02/20/2014

Did you know that subscribers to the Geriatrics Review Syllabus, 8th Edition (GRS8) have access to a number of tools to customize, personalize, and enhance their online experience?  Online subscribers to the GRS8 have the ability to take notes, bookmark pages, save searches, and customize self-assessment practice tests within the GRS8 Online program.

Want to take notes about a topic while reading a chapter?  Simply click on the MyNotes icon in the upper right corner, and you can enter and save notes that will be linked to that chapter.  You can then visit the MyNotes tab in My Account to view all of your notes – and even export them to an Excel file.

Want to bookmark a page within the GRS8?  Click on the yellow star Bookmark icon (also in the upper right corner), and a bookmark will be created that can be retrieved at any time in the My Bookmarks tab in My Account

Want to save a search and its results?  From the Advanced Search tab, you can choose the GRS8 from the Selected Products category, and search with any terms or operators you like.  Once your search results have been returned, you can name and save the search, and retrieve it from the Saved Searches tab in My Account.

Want to track your progress on the self-assessment section of the GRS8?    Subscribers can create and save custom practice tests with a combination of any or all of the 59 available topics.  The My Test Results section allows you to review which practice tests you’ve taken, which topics you used to create the tests, and review the number of questions you’ve answered correctly.   Remember, subscribers to the online edition of the GRS8 can take the full exam for up to 90 AMA Category 1 Continuing Medical Education credits, with the ability to download and print a certificate immediately upon completion of the test – no need to wait!

Want to take the test with you on the go?  The online subscription to the GRS8 also comes with a free download of an app that allows you to take practice tests or the full CME exam offline – no need to be online.  Simply visit the Exam for CME Credit or Practice Exams for Self-Assessment sections of the GRS8 Self Assessment program, and you’ll see the link to download the app.   The app can be downloaded and installed on iPads, Android tablets, and desktop computers (Apple or PC).  (Just note that any practice test or full exam that are started offline must be completed offline.)

Online subscriptions to the GRS8 can be purchased and accessed on GeriatricsCareOnline - be sure to visit and purchase your access today!
